NEWS FLASH!!! (11.05.2020) - Update following the announcement regarding the closure of St Andrew's Surgery during the current pandemic. We are now looking to offer a small number of pre-booked Nurse appointments. These will mainly be offered to vulnerable patients, but will include some routine procedures moving forward.
For staff and patient safety the site will still remain closed to walk in enquiries. Please contact the surgery by phone in the usual way (01273 476216) or online. For more details see below.
If you are on regular medication, the doctor may provide you with a repeat prescription slip. To request a repeat prescription, this slip can be handed into reception Monday to Friday or posted to the surgery.
A stamped addressed envelope must be attached to your request if you require the prescription to be returned to you.
Many local chemists collect prescriptions from the surgery - please indicate on your request slip if you wish to use this service.
Please give 3 full working days for all requests and remember that telephone requests are not accepted.
Repeat prescriptions can also be ordered on-line by clicking on the button on our home page.
If a drug is not on your repeat medication list, or if you wish the prescription to be amended, the doctor will require more information to process the prescription request. Please explain why the non-repeat prescription is needed when making the request. If the clinician has insufficient information or is concerned about the safety or appropriateness of the request it will not be authorised.
Your medication will be reviewed at regular intervals by the doctor, and from time to time you may be asked to make an appointment for this purpose.
Patients that require repeat prescriptions for contraception are required to complete an annual contraceptive pill checklist. Please download and email to HWCCG.firstname.lastname@example.org or post to the surgery.
We now have a Blood Pressure machine in the waiting room, no need to make an appointment with the nurse to have your bp checked.
